Each Pawmorial product features a unique way to reach your pet's personalised memorial page — either a QR code visitors scan with a smartphone camera, or an embedded NFC tag they simply tap their phone against. Either way, no app or account is needed to visit the memorial.

On your pet's memorial page, you can share your favourite photos, write about their personality and the memories you treasure, and invite friends and family to light virtual candles, send flowers, leave guestbook messages, and more. It's a place where your pet's story lives on and where loved ones can come together to remember.

Products with a QR code have it printed or engraved directly onto the item. When anyone scans it with their smartphone camera, they are taken directly to your pet's memorial page. There's no app to download and no account needed for visitors — it works instantly with any modern smartphone.

The QR code is permanent and unique to your pet's memorial. Whether the product sits in your garden, on a shelf at home, or at a special place you shared together, anyone who discovers it can scan and visit the memorial to learn about the wonderful life your pet lived. Some products use an NFC tag instead of a QR code — see the next question.

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless technology built into most modern smartphones. Some of our products include an embedded NFC tag instead of a QR code, so visitors simply tap their phone against the product rather than scanning.

Simply hold your smartphone close to the NFC tag on the product and it will instantly open your pet's memorial page — no camera scanning needed. It's a seamless, almost magical experience. NFC works with most modern iPhones (iPhone 7 and newer) and Android devices.

If a visitor's phone doesn't support NFC, they can still visit the memorial directly via any link you've shared with them.

Your pet's memorial has no expiry date and no annual fee — it stays online, whether or not you ever subscribe to Forever Cloud. If we ever had to close the service we'd tell you in advance and give you time to download everything.

Yes, absolutely! You can log in to your account at any time to update your pet's memorial. Add new photos as you find them, update the bio, change your tribute message, or adjust any of the settings. Your memorial is a living tribute that you can shape and refine whenever you wish.

There's no rush, and no time limit. Your pet's memorial is there whenever you want to come back to it — to add new photos as you find them, or simply to sit with it for a while. There's no limit to how often you can make changes.

Absolutely. Pawmorial is for every pet — dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, fish, horses, reptiles, and any other companion who has touched your heart. Every pet deserves to be remembered, no matter how big or small.

When creating your memorial, you can select your pet's type and breed to personalise the experience. If your pet type isn't listed, simply choose "Other" and tell us about your unique companion.

Every Pawmorial product, wherever you bought it from, ships with its own unique activation tag. Setting up your memorial takes just a couple of minutes:

1. Scan the activation tag on your product (or visit the printed link)
2. Create a free Pawmorial account (or log in if you already have one)
3. Add your pet's details and choose your privacy settings

There's no order number or marketplace username to enter - the tag itself does the work, so it makes no difference where you bought it from.

If you order more than one product at once, all the tags in that order link to the same memorial. For more than one pet, please place a separate order for each.

Your pet's memorial is designed to be an interactive, living tribute where friends and family can come together to celebrate your pet's life. Visitors can:

• Light a virtual candle that glows on the memorial for 24 hours
• Send flowers, treats, and love — beautiful virtual gifts that appear on the memorial
• Leave a guestbook message sharing their own memories and words of comfort

Every interaction is a way for someone to show they care, and you'll be notified when your pet receives a new candle, gift, or guestbook entry. It's a wonderful way to feel the support of those around you.

A free memorial includes a profile photo, a cover photo, and 5 gallery photos — enough to give your pet's page a beautiful start.

Forever Cloud members can upload an unlimited photo gallery plus up to 5 video clips, giving you the space to tell your pet's full story — from their first day home to their final cuddle.

Yes, you are always in control of what appears on your pet's memorial. By default, all guestbook entries require your approval before they are visible to other visitors. You can review each message from your dashboard and approve or decline it.

If you'd prefer messages to appear immediately without approval, you can change this setting in your memorial's configuration. You can also remove any previously approved message at any time.

Interactions are the ways visitors can show their love and support on your pet's memorial. There are several types of virtual gifts:

• Light a Candle — A warm candle that glows on the memorial for 24 hours
• Send Flowers — A permanent floral tribute
• Send Treats — A loving gesture that remains on the memorial
• Send Love — A heartfelt expression of care
• Send a Star (Forever Cloud) — A special 24-hour tribute that shines brightly
• Plant a Tree (Forever Cloud) — A permanent, living tribute

As the memorial owner, you can choose which interactions are enabled on your pet's page. You'll be notified each time someone sends a gift, so you always know when someone is thinking of your pet.

Privacy controls are available as part of our Forever Cloud subscription. With Forever Cloud, you can set your memorial to private, meaning only people you specifically approve will be able to view your pet's page. You'll have full control over who can and cannot access the memorial from your dashboard.

Free memorials are publicly accessible to anyone who has the link or scans the QR code on your product. This means friends, family, and anyone who encounters your memorial product can visit and pay their respects.

When someone spots a remembrance keepsake on a shelf and scans its QR code, being able to read your pet's story and light a candle is a powerful moment of connection and compassion.

We understand, however, that some pet owners prefer a more private tribute, and we completely respect that. That's why privacy controls are included as part of Forever Cloud, alongside other enhanced features like expanded photo storage, video uploads, and more. It helps us keep the core Pawmorial service free for everyone whilst offering additional features for those who want them.

By default, your memorial is public, which means anyone with the link or QR code can view it. This includes people who scan or tap your product, anyone you share the link with, and visitors who find it via a search engine like Google — public memorials are included in our sitemap so they can be indexed and found.

Visitors can view your pet's photos and memories, leave guestbook entries (which you can moderate), and send virtual gifts like candles and flowers. Only you can edit the memorial content — visitors can only view and interact.

Yes, regardless of whether your memorial is public or private, you always have full control over guestbook entries. By default, every guestbook message requires your approval before it becomes visible to other visitors.

You can review, approve, or decline messages from your dashboard. If you prefer a more open experience, you can enable automatic approval in your memorial settings. You can also remove any approved entry at any time.

An account is required to create and manage your pet's memorial. This ensures only you can edit and control your pet's tribute page. Creating an account is completely free and only takes a moment — you can sign up with your email address or use your Google or Facebook account for one-click registration.

Once you have an account, you can manage all of your memorials, view guestbook entries, and track orders from a single dashboard.

Forever Cloud is our subscription service that unlocks the full potential of your pet's memorial. For just £2.99 per month, Forever Cloud includes:

• Unlimited photo storage — Upload as many photos as you like (instead of 6)
• Video uploads — Add precious video clips to your memorial
• Additional themes — Choose from exclusive memorial page designs
• Privacy controls — Make your memorial private and control who can view it
• Premium interactions — Unlock special virtual gifts like Send a Star and Plant a Tree
• Ad-free experience — Enjoy your memorial without any advertisements
• Priority support — Get help faster when you need it

Forever Cloud is entirely optional. Your free memorial is beautiful and lasting on its own — Forever Cloud simply adds extra features for those who want the very best for their pet's tribute.

Yes, you can cancel your Forever Cloud subscription at any time from your account settings. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitments.

When you cancel, you'll continue to have access to all Forever Cloud features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your memorial reverts to the free tier. Nothing is deleted, but gallery photos beyond the free limit of five are hidden until you resubscribe.

Your memorial and all of its content will always remain online, even if you cancel Forever Cloud. Nothing is ever deleted. Here's what changes:

• Your memorial will become public again (if it was set to private)
• Premium interactions (Star and Tree) will no longer be available for visitors
• You won't be able to add further gallery photos or videos until you resubscribe

Your core memorial — including your pet's profile photo, cover photo, bio, guestbook entries, and all interactions received — will remain exactly as they are. If you ever decide to resubscribe, all your Forever Cloud features are restored instantly.

You can subscribe to Forever Cloud from your account dashboard. Simply navigate to the Forever Cloud section and choose your plan. Payment is handled securely through Stripe, and you can use any major debit or credit card.

Your subscription covers all of the memorials on your account, so if you have multiple pets, you only need one Forever Cloud subscription to unlock premium features across all of them.
